Our dear friend Joshua Reynolds (Joshie) is in for the fight of his life. Team Joshie Strong is a campaign designed by friends who love him, and want to support him during his latest fight with cancer. It’s really simple. We are raising money, to help him and his young family financially through this time. Besides the cost of treatment, Joshie’s new startup business which manages AirBNB properties, was hit hard during COVID. You can contribute through this web page, and know that every cent helps.
ABOUT JOSHIE
Joshie fought cancer as a child, teen and again a year ago where he fought stage 3 colorectal cancer and ileostomy surgery - you can read his brother's incredible account of it here. After winning the harrowing battle and sharing his brave story of life with a stoma (follow @stomaflage on Instagram), and only four months in remission, Joshie and his family are at battle again. This time they're fighting stage 4 cancer that’s moved up from the colon into Joshie’s lymph nodes and lungs. Treatment started in the form of chemo and radiation, but given its harshness on this system this second time round, Josh has chosen a respected alternative treatment at a clinic in Bloemfontein where he is currently residing. Josh and Phil are wonderful, kind, gregarious, salt of the earth friends. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and don’t hold back in hope that their experiences with cancer will inspire and empower others. It’s this sense of spirit we’re looking to share and widen in our community while helping them find some respite from the countless medical (mental/emotional/physical) responsibilities that seem to gather over and above the everyday tasks that parents and adults face.
